My radical point of view, shared.
I frequently have heated debates with friends, English, Turks, Dutch, I don't discriminate, about Turkey and its direction. We always have to agree to differ because my view may seem extreme and far fetched to those living here, who can't bear the thought that one day they may have to consider upping sticks. It seems, however, that my views on Turkeys inexorable march towards Islamism and its gradual dismantling of the secular state by Erdogan is a view shared by respected political commentators. please read the following:
Traveling abroad on his first trip as president, Barack Obama tacked a visit to Turkey onto the tail end of a trip to Europe. "Some people have asked me if I chose to continue my travels to Ankara and Istanbul to send a message," he told the Turkish Parliament. "My answer is simple: Evet [yes]. Turkey is a critical ally." On the same visit, however, the president showed that he considered Turkey more firmly part of the Islamic world than of Europe. "I want to make sure that we end before the call to prayer, so we have about half an hour," Obama told a town hall in Istanbul. Obama was not simply demonstrating cultural sensitivity. The fact is that Turkey has changed. Gone, and gone permanently, is secular Turkey, a unique Muslim country that straddled East and West and that even maintained a cooperative relationship with Israel. Today Turkey is an Islamic republic whose government saw fit to facilitate the May 31 flotilla raid on Israel's blockade of Gaza. Turkey is now more aligned to Iran than to the democracies of Europe. Whereas Iran's Islamic revolution shocked the world with its suddenness in 1979, Turkey's Islamic revolution has been so slow and deliberate as to pass almost unnoticed,.....read more
A message for Greece!
Get the hell out of the single currency and Europe for your own good. If your politicians won't listen, bring them to their knees with strikes etc. Once you are free of the shackles that Merkel and Sarkozy are foisting on you, you can let your currency find its own level and your economy will recover a damned site quicker than the Euro meddlers would have you believe. You read it here and I stated it more than 3 years ago on this site, the Euro is doomed to collapse, as will the EU itself and thank God when it happens. The citizens of Europe may then find their metal and start holding this corrupt bunch of unelected bureaucrats to account.
The Spanish banking system will be another casualty in 2012 along with the economies of Ireland and Portugal.
The Euro will collapse completely in 2013, followed by the total collapse of the European community in 2014.
Nobody should believe the scaremongering put about by M & S about the consequences of a total EU collapse. Europe is THEIR dream! All EU countries will recover a damned site more quickly once they are out of this corrupt and failing club, where unelected and failed politicians are funded by the European tax payer. The money that is currently being thrown at countries like Greece to bail them out CAN NEVER BE RECOVERED, whether the bailout succeeds or not. This attempted bailout WILL NOT and cannot succeed. We are talking about Greece here, not the UK. The UK's gold bullion reserves that Gordon Brown sold off to raise money lost the UK billions of pounds, a splendid example of irrecoverable loss. M & S could literally bankrupt Europe if they continue on this obsessive European path.
Forced Healthcare
Now official! Naturally, the Turkish ministers will continue to dream up other schemes that can relieve Europeans of their life savings. Erdogan and his party have an inbred hatred of Europe, particularly the British. Forget the fact that Turks living in the UK with residency permits can avail themselves of the National Health, the benefits system, free translators, work permits...the list goes on. Once again, our ineffectual government lets these arseholes get away with this.
I posted the following because I found it hard to believe that a 'professional' company could behave like this. I'm sure eBay wouldn't be impressed either.
Dear consumables2go,
Hi, you say the drives are new or used. I do not want a second hand drive, tested or not. I have bought 2 second hand drives from ebay and they both went to that big computer dump in the sky. If you can guarantee I will get a new one, I would like to buy. I just do not do second hand anymore. Cheers,
Grant
Their 'professional' reply:
Dear diversaint,
If you can not purchase from us with confidence, I think it better that you purchase elsewhere. Kind regards

Nice eh? What do you reckon the chances are of me buying from them or recommending them to anybody else? |
