Welcome to Joli Triste in Turkey.  My aim here is to entertain you and help you while away the hours.  You could, of course, be doing something more productive, like working or better still drinking.

Some of you visiting the site may remember my company name from the UK and I decided to keep the name alive.  Unfortunately, I had to wind the company up because the process of filling out tax and VAT forms was logistically difficult.

Meliha Kaplan makes great reading and is a perfect example of the sort of crap we have to put up with here as 'Yabancilir' (foreigners).  This following site also exposes the pathetic inadequacies of the Turkish legal system.
